The AI&DS-I course covers six modules the first three covering the concepts of Artificial Intelligence and the next three covering the concepts of Data Science. Starting with an introduction to AI, exploring its definition, techniques, problem formulation, and the role of intelligent agents. It then dives into search techniques like A*, simulated annealing, and game-playing strategies, enhancing problem-solving skills. Further knowledge representation is explored through logical reasoning, planning methods, and structured knowledge systems. The course then shifts to Data Science, introducing its lifecycle, roles, and comparison with analytics and big data. Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) focuses on data formats, statistical techniques, and visualization methods. Finally, machine learning basics are covered, including supervised and unsupervised learning techniques like logistic regression, decision trees, clustering, and their real-world applications. This course is an ideal starting point for students aspiring to make a mark in AI and Data Science, blending theoretical concepts with practical problem-solving to prepare them for real-world applications. This is an Industry relevant course as AI and DS are driving innovation in sectors like healthcare, finance, retail, and autonomous systems. Moreover, roles such as Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, AI Researcher, and Business Analyst are in high demand which one can easily fit into after completing the course.
